This Friday I am flying to the beautiful Island of the Dominican Republic. I will be there for a week in Barahona, staying with COTN (Children of The Nations) Ploease pray for our team's safety. I have been once before but this shall be a new experience.

It has been over 6 months I am estimating since I have last blogged. I have finished my sophmore year of highschool, and am enjoying summer with family. I am going to the Dominican Republic for the 2nd time with my church and can not wait. Since it has been a while since I have posted anything let me catch you up. In January my Uncle Ted had an accident up In South Carolina and was burned 30%. He fought hard through the graphing and surgeries until he had a stroke that went unnoticed. He slipped away from us to be with the Lord in February. It was and still is hard for all of us. His wife Jenny and 4 children Jon, Cara, Juli, and Lola have had an amazing trust in God through it all. Although his passing shook us up and brought tears it made us stronger in our faith together and as a family. I have had a problem with keeping my priorities straight. I made some wrong choices and am suffering the consequences. Learning how to obey and willfully submit isn't the easiest thing, but I am praying for strength and guidance. Since school has ended I have had the time to recieve my lifeguard certification along with my license. Now I really need a job. Haha I leave next week for South Carolina, North Carolina and Tennessee. 2 weeks after that I am headed to the Dominican Republic for a mission trip again. Thats all for now and maybe it won't take me 6 months to do a new post.

I am in Raleigh North Carolina and I don't want to leave. You know, I have lived in South Carolina, Washington state, Florida, California. For some reason I want to live in North Carolina. My mom said if we ever did move her in the country we could get dogs. I have wanted a dog for the longest time. I guess its because I just love animals. She said we could get a German Shepherd, Great Dane, and an Akeeta. I wouldn't live in Raleigh though. I would live in Hendersonville. Thats where my family lives now and I already know where everything is! (breathe in) I guess I will just have to wait and see. I want dogs, in the country, in Hendersonville North Carolina. I'll pray. I hope it comes true.

Its December and it has also been 6 months since I have posted anything. Let me catch you up. The Young Life WC was amazing and I loved it soo much. I made friends all over the country and even in other country. The Dominican Republic was life changing. Just seeing everyone in such poverty made me want to cry. Yet, the people still had a smile on their face. School has been good just super busy. This week is the end of most of my classes so I am happy about that. My North Carolina trip is coming up and I will be 16 when we are up there. Thats pretty much whats going on right now. I promise it won;t be another 6 months before I post again.

This summer I am going to work at a Young Life camp up in Georgia for a month. I am so excited that I can't wait. During my camp experience I want to become closer to God and have a heart more like a servant. Only a few days after I arrive home from working at the camp I will be going on a mission trip with Orlando Children's Church to the Dominican Republic for about 7 days.

Rain. Isn't wonderful. It makes me think of newly discovered flower buds on rose bushes and hot teas. It may sound like the stories Beatrix Potter wrote. I like her. I saw the movie that was about her and I simply loved the house she bought in the country. It was so beautiful. I want a house like that when I get older. I desire to have 2 horses, 3 pigs, a couple of chickens, 2 goats and two great danes. Oh how I wish it could be true . Everyone has there own dreams.. probably not like mine though.

Recently I have been wanting to get a job. But the problem is I do not know when I would be able to do it! School is always keeping me busy and volunteering, youth group, church and Young Life.
Really, right now my school is my "work" because I am doing it constantly...Though I do not get paid. I guess the information and education is the pay of my work. Do you have a "job" that you don't get paid for?

Wow I have not posted in a long time> I must admit have been transferred to Facebook in the past months. I will keep blogging because it is enjoyable. I am now a Freshmen this year and it is harder than I had expected. Thankfully my home work this week is not hard and I am able to blog once again. I am not good at keeping journals and my blog is like my journal. So lets see, so far I have gotten my braces taken off and my summer began with a trip to Jasper, Georgia to a Young Life camp which was awesome. I went to North Carolina with my family for Labor day weekend and saw family and great friends. We stayed in a cabin which was ten minutes up a steep mountain with a view that was unforgettable.

Huge trees, large insects, and fascinating animals always seem to catch my attention. The continent Africa is a place I desire to be. The unique country Malawi has many orphans within it's borders. It has been my dream to travel to Africa and do mission work there or be a veterinarian. I am raising money to go to Africa in the summer of 2009 to South Africa. I have been praying about the trip and I feel like God wants me there. I have always had a love for His creations and this may be the reason why.

On thursdays I have my School classes. One of those classes is Rhetoric and it is right after lunch. My teacher asked a hard question in class that alot of students couldn't answer right away. It was to summarize, in one sentence or less the Bible. For me this was hard because the Bible is so amazing and it gives the true message we are all looking for. To me, this homework was going to be tough. But I read a verse. It was Revelations 22:21, " The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God's people. Amen.'' That moment I had my answer. It is our past, present and future. That is what I can truthfully say about this Holy book. What would you say if you were asked that question I was asked?

Not Again

I have a butterfly sanctuary outside of my window, and I get butterflies that turn into chrysalises. Into the net in my room they go and the next morning there is a butterfly. I have missed over 15 hatch FIFTEEN!!!! here are some pictures of some I have found in my garden.

A fishing friend

I have a friend by the name of Michael. He lives in melbourne now, but,we are still good friends. When he lived in my neighborhood we wuold always go fishing at a place we call dincky-dock. We catch blue gill, yellow belly ( thats what I call them). We went fishing with only string and a hookand some bread. One time we even caught 23 fish in an hour!! Some people at our old church thought we were brother and sister. Because we did alot of things the same way.

I just got terrible news. The big sorta tan tree frogs are cuban and they eat the little green tree frogs that are good. So if you see one of these frogs you have to put the tree frog in a ziploc bag and put them in the freezer. :(

I have been very upset with blogger. You have to have a google account and an email, anywhoo. Some of my friends got me a monarch chrysalise and a gulf fritillary. I have probably a six foot butterfly net hanging in my room. it takes about ten to fifteen days for the chrysalises to hatch, and i cant wait until they do.
